Add User to your company account
Savah allows you to efficiently manage user access and roles by adding people to your company directory and assigning them to teams with specific permissions. This article explains how to add new user
Adding Users from the Directory
To add a new user to your Savah account:
Go to the Directory section from the Admin panel.
Click on Add User.
Enter the following details:
Full Name
Email Address
Check Is Super Admin (optional)
Select one or more Teams from the dropdown
Assign a Role for each team (Admin, PI Admin, Team Member, Observer)
Super Admin Privileges
If the "Is Super Admin" checkbox is selected, the user will receive:
Full access to all workspaces
Permission to create new workspaces
Access to the Administration Settings area
Ability to add new users and manage teams
Email Invitation and First Login
Once the user is added:
They will receive an email with their username and a system-generated password.
On first login, the system will enforce a password change.
After successful login:
If the user is a Super Admin, they will land directly in the global workspace area.
If the user is not a Super Admin, they will only see workspaces linked to their assigned teams.
What If a User Sees an Empty Screen?
If the user:
Is not assigned to any team, or
Their team is not linked to a workspace
They will see an empty view with no accessible workspaces.
To fix this, make sure:
The user is assigned to at least one team
That team is linked to a workspace
Role Resolution Across Teams
If a user is added to multiple teams that are part of the same workspace, and has different roles in each team, Savah will use the highest role level for that workspace.
Example:
Team A → Role: Team Member
Team B → Role: PI Admin
Both teams are added to Workspace X
The user will be treated as a PI Admin in Workspace X.
Best Practices for Onboarding Users
Assign each new user to at least one team
Ensure that the team is linked to a workspace
Clearly define roles while assigning to teams
Use Super Admin status sparingly and only when necessary
